Natural? Local?

In class we talked all about Organic and its many sides, and how many companies now use the word "natural" to try and imply some of the same things that organic means to draw health conscious eaters. Yet "natural" could mean anything they want it to mean, because its use is not regulated like "Organic" is by the government. It has completely lost its original meaning, now that it is just slapped onto labels and ads left and right. We also recently discussed what "Local" can really mean, and how many of us may think of something like Common Thread Farm, 10 minutes down the road when we think local. Yet we discovered that the AASHE definition of local as within 250 miles. Food from both Ottawa, Canada, and Philadelphia would be considered local in that respect.
Anyway, I found this page while surfing through the Huffington Post's food section, and thought it is particularly appropriate for what we have been talking about in class:

10 Common Food Terms That Have Lost All Meaning

2 of those words are Local and Natural, but the rest are just as interesting to think about, in how they have lost their original meaning.
