A film that I keep hearing about, but have yet to see is Spinning Plates, a documentary that premiered for a limited time in late October of this year. It follows three different restaurants and the people that run them. The three restaurants featured include an 150-year old restaurant in Iowa, a struggling roadside Mexican restaurant in Tucson, and a cutting-edge restaurant in Chicago that was named the seventh-best in the world. The film shares stories of family, legacy, passion, and survival to reveal how meaningful food can be and how it has the power to connect us to one another.
